With towels in hand, they swam through the sea of people as the Traslacion passed Vergara Street.

Auction results showed the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) fully awarded the offer of P30 billion via reissued 10-year T-bonds as total bids reached P96.3 billion, more than thrice the available volume.

The Traslacion, which began around 4:41 a.m. Thursday, was expected to be attended by millions of faithful.

The procession is a retracing of the origins of Jesus Nazareno from Bagumbayan to Intramuros, and then to Quiapo.
